About University of Antwerp
The University of Antwerp (Universiteit Antwerpen - UAntwerpen) is a major public research-intensive university situated in Antwerp—Europe’s second-largest port city and a vibrant diamond, logistics, chemical, and fashion hub. With historical roots tracing back to 1852 and formally unified in 2003, UAntwerpen educates over 21,000 students from more than 130 countries across nine faculties. The university is celebrated for its exceptional research output, world-class academic standards, and strong international orientation. UAntwerpen operates across four strategically planned campuses: the historic Stadscampus (City Campus) nestled around the 16th-century Hof van Liere in downtown Antwerp (home to Business, Law, Design, and Social Sciences), Campus Drie Eiken in Wilrijk (anchoring the Antwerp University Hospital - UZA, Medicine, and Pharmacy), Campus Groenenborger (Applied Engineering and Science), and Campus Middelheim (Mathematics and Computer Science). A founding member of the Young European Research Universities Network (YERUN) and the Aurora European Universities Alliance, UAntwerpen offers a diverse spectrum of English-taught Master’s degrees, advanced postgraduate programs, and doctoral training.
