About University of Roehampton
Visit Official WebsiteThe University of Roehampton is an innovative, collegiate public research university situated across 54 acres of scenic parkland in South West London, bordering Richmond Park. Tracing its heritage to 1841 with the foundation of Whitelands College—one of the earliest higher education institutions for women educators in the United Kingdom—Roehampton unites four historic nineteenth-century constituent colleges: Digby Stuart College (1874), Froebel College (1892), Southlands College (1872), and Whitelands College (1841). Granted full university title in 2004, Roehampton is celebrated as London’s only collegiate parkland campus, uniquely pairing a tight-knit community atmosphere and historic Georgian architecture with the boundless opportunities of central London.
